Step 2: Create
two duct tape fabrics that each measure 8½ inches
in length and 3 inches in height. (See placemat instructions,
steps 2-9 for fabric instructions.)
Step 3: Roll fabric into a
cylindrical shape and tape down the seam.
Step 4: Fold down one end of
the cylinder and secure it with a piece of tape.
Step 5: Repeat Step 2 and create
a second fabric for the cover that is three strips wide.
Step 6: Wrap the fabric around
the opening of the cylinder so it’s slightly larger.
Make sure there is enough room for the lid to easily slide
on and off. Tape down the seam.
Step 7: Fold down the opposite
end of the cylinder and close off the top with a piece
of tape as done in Step 4.
Step 8: Add decorations with
different colors and designs. Your new case should be
large enough to
hold 5-6 pencils!
